Fort Worth GradNation Community Summit “Our City…Our Kids”

The Fort Worth GradNation Community Summit is bringing leaders of Fort Worth together with our youth to continue improving the graduation rate for our city. Mayor Betsy Price and Fort Worth SPARC are proud to host the GradNation Community Summit on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Texas Christian University. We will bring together close to 400 leaders from the business, civic, government, and religious sectors of our community and most importantly our youth. We will be discussing the importance of a high school diploma and being career ready by attaining a postsecondary degree and high quality credentials for the 21st Century workforce.

Throughout the day we will hear from panel speakers comprised of:

  • Students from middle school to college will discuss struggles they faced, or are facing, to graduate and how we, as a community, may effect real change.
  • Leaders from education, non-profit, and community sectors will be speaking on innovative programs that are moving our students to graduate and insuring their preparation for college and career.
  • Leading local and national personalities will share their personal stories and struggles to graduate.

At Fort Worth GradNation, our attendees will have a chance to commit to helping close the gap and help move the graduation rate to 90% and beyond by 2020.
