Alignment Nashville is pleased to host the 2016 Nashville GradNation summit, entitled “Bridging the Gap: Every Student, Every Family,” on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Trevecca University, in partnership with Nashville Public Television. We will bring together close to 250 leaders from the business community, education and higher education institutions, government, community and religious leaders, parents, and – most importantly – youth themselves.
Throughout the day, attendees will learn how business and community organizations can ensure that all of Nashville’s students receive the services and support they need to graduate from high school prepared for college, career and life.

- Youth Panel: What do students need to graduate and succeed?
Moderator LaTonya Turner from Nashville Public Television will lead a lively, honest discussion with a panel of young people that will discuss the challenges they faced and the support they needed to succeed.
- Ignite Presentations:
Eight local experts will share compelling stories about solutions that are having an impact, but which could serve more students and families with additional business and community engagement. These “Ted Talk”-type presentations will motivate and inspire participants to join in the community-wide effort to bridge the gap and reach every student, every family.
- Action Planning:
Attendees will have an opportunity to meet in a small group setting with the Ignite presenters to learn more about their subject area and plan next steps.
